Sheffield EPSRC DLA standard award: 3.5 years, tuition and UKRI-rate stipend, plus £4,500 total Research Training and Support Grant across the award. The 2026/27 stipend is £21,805 per year; the 2027/28 rate is unconfirmed. The scheme caps International awards at 30%, Sheffield anticipates up to 10 and considers Home-fee applicants first. Sheffield covers the Home/International fee difference for successful International awardees; project-level International availability and personal eligibility must be confirmed. Visa, NHS surcharge and relocation costs are not covered.

The MFC 2027 listing describes four years of full tuition, tax-free stipend and research/travel support, with limited competitive international places. Confirm the personal award’s 2027 stipend and overseas-fee terms in writing. The Horizon residency conditions do not include China; the Presidential Bursary is competitive fee-gap support only.

Tuition fees and a bursary are advertised; amount, paid months and overseas-fee coverage are unspecified. The 3–3.5-year study period does not confirm funding for the full period.
